We are excited to announce we have received funding from the government’s Culture Recovery Fund to help deal with challenges the coronavirus pandemic caused and ensure you that Burnley Mechanics will continue to entertain you in the new year. Please check our website for all  re-scheduled events. Tickets are valid for the new dates and any refunds will be issued as soon as we re-open after the current lockdown as ended on 3rd December unless guidelines change.

A charity operated by Burnley Leisure Trust, Burnley Mechanics is a modern multipurpose, fully accessible venue equipped with retractable / removable seating, state of the art lighting, excellent sound facilities, two bars, two performance venues, a Basement Studio, Bistro and meeting rooms.

This magnificent grade two listed venue was opened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth in 1986 to present the very best in entertainment, special events and activities. Since that time the Mechanics have hosted some of the world’s finest talent from all realms of the performing arts including; Sir Ian McKellen, Paul Merton, Martin Kemp The Osmonds, Patty Smith, Marillion, Buddy Guy, G4, stars of Strickly Come Dancing, Dan Snow, Steve Davis, Jim Davidson, Eddie Izzard, John Bishop, Alan Carr, Lee Nelson, Hull Truck Theatre, fabulous family shows, CBBC’s Milkshake, beautiful Ballet’s and many more.
