The Mechanics has long been a hotbed for live music, top class comedy and family entertainment, attracting class acts and big names including Eddie Izzard, John Bishop, Alan Carr, Patty Smith, Marillion, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Dukes, Buddy Guy and many more. The recent refurbishment work has seen the historic Mechanics building enter a new era and we’re incredibly excited to bring the people of Burnley a quality, balanced program of events.
Burnley Mechanics is now part of Burnley Leisure, a charitable trust set up to run leisure, arts and cultural services in the Borough. New season’s acts include top comedy from Omid Djalili, Lee Nelson, Tim Vine and Dave Spikey. Live music from the likes of Fairport Convention, Roy Orbison & Friends, G4, The Osmonds, Talon and Joe McElderry and family shows such as Goldilocks, Sing-a-long-a Frozen, a Ballet production of Aladdin, The Cat in the Hat and Red Riding Hood.
