We’re incredibly proud to be partnered with dance schools, local theatre companies,craft groups and societies offering a range of professional and amateur performances throughout the season.

Sanderson’s Dance and Fitness Centre:

Valley Academy School of Musical Theatre and Dance:

Valley Productions present the world’s most popular musicals – their shows often feature a full live orchestra, spectacular scenery and breath-taking performances. Visit their website for more information.

Dansworks Dance Academy:

Featuring singers and dancers aged from 3yrs to 70yrs! Styles include street dance, ballet, tap, Irish, musical theatre, freestyle and jazz. For more information check out their website.

Rossendale Dance & Drama Centre:

RDDC offer a range of classes from Ballet to Irish River dance and Tap along with other classes to get you up and moving, like Salsacise and Zumba. Their classes are designed for everyone, from pre-school through to adults. RCCD not only host dance shows here at the Mechanics, they also have their annual competitions. Lynn McCheyne of Sanderson’s Dance:

Theatre Works Dance School:

Blessed Trinity RC College Dance Academy 

Based in Burnley this vibrant college continues to celebrate their wonderful achievements in all aspects of dance, drama and music.

SSPA strives to provide the best opportunity for a variety of ages and abilities to sing and dance on the big stage in front of large enthusiastic audiences.

Next Level Dance Studio

Based in Burnley this popular dance school offers classes in Streetdance, Cheerleading, Lyrical, Ballet, Tumbling, Gymnastics and Adult classes

Initiate Theatre

Initiate Theatre provides workshops, professional theatre and event entertainment throughout the Northwest. Our academies are run by Industry professionals, with years of experience teaching students of all ages.
Andrew Sumner, the Artistic Director, has performed nationally & internationally and specialises in Shakespeare tuition. Emily Bentkowski, the weekly tutor, has a dance and drama degree, and is now working with Initiate Theatre on a regular basis, as well as freelancing for others.
Our terms follow a set structure, focusing on different practitioners and their techniques. We also work towards performances and exams, and provide opportunities to learn from other tutors and directors in one off sessions.
The first session is always free, so come down and give it a go!
