Live Music in the Front Room

The Front Room is the ideal space for music events, comedians and small scale theatre groups.  With great flexibility the Front Room can be adapted to suit every occasion, both seated and standing events.

The Front Room has seen the likes of rhythm and blues bands Dr Feelgood and Ricky Cool and the In-Crowd to classical ensemble Fordante and hot jazz swingsters The After Hours Quintet. Other music events include blues rock three-piece Willie and the Bandits, Celtic-folk punk band Ferocious Dog and BBC Radio 2’s Folk Award Winners Kathryn Roberts & Sean Lakemen and Steve Tilston.

Take a look at upcoming Front Room music events in our brochure.

Our fully trained and experienced technical team are able to provide full technical support for all types of events whether it be an intimate front room performance or a full-scale auditorium event.

Ricky Cool and the In Crowd return to Burnley for a 2nd year with another front room performance on Saturday 9th September.
Front man Ricky said "We're looking forward to playing Burnley Mechanics. It's a venue with a great reputation and we're excited about bringing our music to a new audience".
They play a variety of music styles under the banner of rhythm and blues. Early Jamaican grooves are mixed in with the American to recreate the musical styles that were so much a part of the early Mod culture.
