Burnley Pantomime Society

With regular rave reviews and sell-out annual performances Award Winning Burnley Pantomime Society present their spectacular pantomime every January. To get involved with the Pantomime Society, contact them via their Facebook page.

Burnley Light Opera Society

Multi Award Winning Burnley Light Opera Society was born in 1934 under the initial leadership of Capt. THG Grey and the Bishop of Burnley, Canon E Priestly Swain. Since its humble beginnings 80 years ago, the society has run through more than 85 shows (at least one every year, except for the war years 1942-1945). Our Stage door bar is named after their late chairman Colin Sanderson. If you’d like to be involved either onstage or as part of the technical team, contact BLOS via their Facebook page.

Valley Academy School of Musical Theatre and Dance

Valley Productions present the world’s most popular musicals ranging from Hairspray to Les Miserables, along with family favourites like Grease. Their shows often feature a full live orchestra, spectacular scenery and breath-taking performances. Visit their website for more information.

Dansworks Dance Academy

Featuring singers and dancers aged from 3yrs to 70yrs! Styles include street dance, ballet, tap, Irish, musical theatre, freestyle and jazz. For more information check out their website.

KLF Dance and Theatre Group

KLF cover a variety of dance genres, from modern Jazz to commercial Street Dance and Pom Dance Cheerleading, for children aged 3 all the way through to adults. Get in touch with KLF via their website.

Join us for the first ever Mechanics Gin and Jazz Club, as we welcome the Jane Smith Quartet to the Front Room. Playing everything from jazz classics such as The Lady Is A Tramp, At Last and Autumn Leaves to more modern jazz and funk tunes by Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder. Sit back, relax and sip on one of our speciality gins (other drinks are available), as our Front Room is transformed into an intimate Jazz club for the night.

Get ready to join Mouse on a daring adventure through the deep, dark wood in Tall Stories’ magical, musical adaptation of the classic picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.
Searching for hazelnuts, Mouse meets the cunning Fox, the eccentric old Owl and the party mad Snake. Will the story of the terrifying Gruffalo save Mouse from ending up as dinner for these hungry woodland creatures? After all, there’s no such thing as a Gruffalo – is there?
Songs, laughs and scary fun for children of all ages and their grown-ups, in the much-loved show that’s toured Britain and the world!

An evening of theatre and live music to celebrate and remember the centenary of Burnley lad Thomas Whitham being awarded the Victoria Cross at the battle of Passchendaele in WW1.
A devised theatre show presented by students of Thomas Whitham Sixth form and a live music set from Manchester folk band, Harp and a Monkey make up an evening of spine tingling entertainment.
