The Lounge Bar is now a modern, vibrant space with sumptuous leather sofas, low lighting and a warm, relaxed feel. The Bar features a Steinway Grand Piano and we invite local pianists to play and we’ve introduced an art gallery display wall featuring work by talented local artist’s.

The bar itself boasts Burnley’s largest Gin selection, the Ginstitute Menu has 100 different varieties from the well-known Hendrick’s to some lesser-known brands such as King of Soho, Bloom, Aviation, Buss No.509 Raspberry, Pinkster and our current best seller – the fabulous Brockman’s. We are also proud to stock Batch Premium Gin, made right here in Burnley, literally a five minute walk from the theatre. A stunning Gin with spicy start leading to rich full taste, garnished with crushed frozen raspberry and a wedge of lime.

In addition to our enviable selection of Gin the bar has a great Draught Beer selection including San Miguel, Staropramen, Tetley, Thatchers Gold and Carlsberg. We’re also really proud to be associated with Reedley Hallows Brewery, two hand pulls adorn the new bar – real Burnley ale that will always be available at the Mechanics.

If spirits are you’re thing then you’ll enjoy sampling a couple of our 8 vodkas, 9 rums, 5 bourbons, selection of malt whiskeys, liqueurs, and blended whiskeys. For drivers and non-drinkers we have a great range of soft drinks including local favourite Mr Fitzpatrick’s Vintage Cordials, delicious Mocktail’s, tonics, fruit juices and fizzy drinks.

Thanks to our new Byrnes of Clitheroe Wine List, we offer a great selection of quality Wine by the glass as well as a fine selection served by the bottle. Look out for the fantastic Neito Torrontes from Argentina or the beautiful full bodied Novas Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot.

The Lounge Bar will be open for every theatre performance and will also compliment our Simply Classic Bistro where visitors can enjoy quality food as well as a great selection of quality drinks from the bar.

Why not hire the Lounge Bar for a private event? We host birthday parties, celebrations, christenings, wakes and conferences. The bar is fully equipped with a projector, screen, background music system and a stunning Steinway Grand Piano. To make an enquiry about hiring the space click here.
